BPAA Boules Tournament 2016

Inclement weather at the start of the afternoon did not dampen the spirit of competitors at this year’s Boules Competition, with teams donning their rain coats and sporting company umbrellas determined to win!

48 teams entered the competition competing for the opportunity to win the coveted BPAA Boules Cup or Silver Plate. The top team from each of the 8 groups went into the Cup competition with the runner up qualifying for the plate competition.

Cup Competition

After winning the competition overall last year, Colliers failed to even make it past the group stage, their performance being as lack lustre as the Cup that they returned.
A solid performance by Integral, JLL, CS2, HTC and Sisman Property Consultants saw the teams, battle against the Law firms of TLT, Foot Anstey and Veale Wasborough Vizzard. Two agency teams and all law firms dropped out with Integral, HTC, CS2 and Sisman Property Consultants securing a place in the semi-final.
Undeterred all teams fought hard to secure a place in the final with Integral making easier work of HTC, and Sisman Property Consultants putting in a similar performance against CS2.
The final was bitterly fought by both teams with Sisman Property Consultants losing to Integral to be the overall winner.

Plate Competition

Reigning Plate holders Gregg Latchams made it through the group rounds, being determined to take home the new shiny plate that they have kindly donated. Sadly their success was short lived being easily out manoeuvred by Knight Frank. Carbon Law’s sold performance failed to make it past Savills cunning.
However, BNP Paribas made short work of Savills in the semi finals securing a swift victory and were crowned winners of the coveted Plate.
John Benson, President of BPAA awarded the prizes to the successful teams. The sponsors Beach Baker, awarded the raffle prizes which included items kindly donated by Savills Residential Lettings and the Port of Call, Clifton.
