Ross Wigley from Southampton a final year property management and investment student at UWE, has been recognised by the Bristol Property Agents Association (BPAA) with its annual student of the year prize.

Awarded each year to a student who shows considerable achievement and promise, the BPAA annual prize includes a cheque for £500 with a presentation at the BPAA annual dinner.

Four students were shortlisted for the award and were invited for an interview with Andrew Main (President of the BPAA), Jeremy Richards (Senior Vice President of the BPAA) and Sarah Ogden (Company Secretary), with Ross being named as the prize winner.

Andrew Main of Savills in Bristol, President of the BPAA comments, “We were all impressed by the calibre of the candidates for this year’s prize, their enthusiasm and ambition for the local property market was exemplary.

“Ross Wigley, who we selected as the recipient of this year’s prize, stood out for a number of reasons. His academic record was excellent, he also showed a real commitment to the industry through his work experience and dissertation. We will be welcoming Ross to our annual dinner early next year but in the meantime, commend him for his win and wish him the very best.

Ross Wigley adds, “‘I would like to thank the BPAA for awarding me this prestigious prize. I was surprised to be nominated and honoured to be the successful recipient. I thoroughly enjoyed my degree in property management and investment and look forward to pursuing my career in the property industry.’
